SCIENCE AT RISK Emergency Office is a project by the German non-profit organization akno e.V., aimed at supporting scholars affected by the political repression in Belarus. The project is funded by the Federal Foreign Office of Germany.

How we help

In 2025, SCIENCE AT RISK Emergency Office offers two types of support: emergency assistance and participation in academic English courses. Participation in any format requires verification. Financial support can be received only once a year.

Individual financial support

We are accepting applications for individual financial support for Belarusian scientists in critical situations until December 10, 2025 or until funds are exhausted.

Language courses

We offer an intensive online course in academic English (level B2+) for at-risk academics.
Applications for the course are open until March 4th.

Вы можаце падтрымаць навукоўцаў, якія апынуліся ў небяспецы з-за вайны ва Украіне і палітычных рэпрэсій у Расіі і Беларусі, зрабіўшы ахвяраванне.

Ваша ахвяраванне непасрэдна падтрымлівае навукоўца, які знаходзіцца ў небяспецы, праз нашы праграмы дапамогі. Дзякуючы вашай падтрымцы даследчык ва Украіне або з Беларусі ці Расіі зможа выступіць з публічнай лекцыяй або апублікаваць навуковы артыкул.Ваш унёсак перадаецца "Акадэмічнай сетцы Усходняй Еўропы (akno e.V.) – арганізацыі, якая рэалізуе праект SCIENCE AT RISK Emergency Office.
